Delete Your Data
Last updated: 03/09/2026
You can ask us to delete your Dog3r account and the personal information we hold about you at any time, for any reason. You don't have to tell us why. This page explains exactly how, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
The short version
Email dog3r.sydney@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the words “delete my data”. We'll confirm within 30 days.
How to request deletion
- Email dog3r.sydney@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Dog3r data”.
- Send it from the email address on your Dog3r account — that's how we confirm the request is really you. If you can no longer access that mailbox, email us anyway and we'll verify another way.
- Tell us the name on the account, and whether you want everything deleted or just specific items.
- We'll action it and email you a confirmation when it's done — within 30 days, usually much sooner.
There is currently no self-service delete button inside the app. Every request is handled by a person, which is slower but means nothing is deleted by accident.
If you signed in with Google or Facebook
When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your password, your friends list, your posts, or anything you haven't agreed to share.
Deleting your Dog3r account removes that information along with the link between your Dog3r account and your Google or Facebook account.
You can also disconnect Dog3r from your provider directly:
- Facebook — Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → select Dog3r → Remove.
- Google — Third-party apps with account access → select Dog3r → Remove access.
Important: disconnecting Dog3r at Facebook or Google stops any future sign-in, but it does not delete the information we already hold. To have that removed, email us as above.
What gets deleted
- Your account, login details and any linked Google or Facebook identity.
- Your contact details, and your dogs' profiles and photos.
- Messages, walk notes and walk history associated with your account.
- Any enquiry or lead details you submitted through our website.
What we may have to keep
Australian law requires us to retain some financial records — invoices and payment records — for at least five years, even after an account is closed. Where we keep these, we retain only what the law requires and we don't use them for anything else.
If your walks involved another business on Dog3r (a walker, boarding facility or vet clinic), that business keeps its own operational records under its own obligations. We'll tell you if that applies to you.
Deleting just some of it
You don't have to delete everything. You can ask us to remove specific items instead — a dog's profile, particular photos, or just the link to your Google or Facebook account while keeping your Dog3r login. Say what you want removed and we'll do only that.
